GOD: unchanged, but moves...
Does God ever change?
Many times I found that question tricky and sometimes, challenging.
Of course, God doesn't change. HE is beyond change. He is above us and is separated to his creation, even in time and in change. He still is the one who started the earth. The one who lets the green leaf grow and sprout and fall to the ground. The one to let the sun shines and hides from a distance, the rain to pour, the air to breathe. He still holds the earth in his hands, the one who controls life of this earth. He still creates and re-create things out of the beauty of it. He still is faithful, good, gracious, loving. Does God ever change? NO. But His creation does.
Imagine this, if GOD changes- we would stop
to exist, or never have been allowed to flourish and continue after Eden. If God change, it means something is wrong with him. He would be unfaithful, merciless, bad and worst unloving. If God changes, he would fail himself, his character, him being creator of things, Him being God.
But if God never changes, why is there so much change in the world? Why is there so much suffering? Death? Famine? Tragedies? Why? The list could go and on, but still, God never change. But man does.
Man created all these changes, for man made sin to exist. He opened up the way for sin to come in; he introduced it in the garden. God forbade it, but man didn't. And because of that, we see things differently. For sin thwarts the way we see it. Sin changed man.
But even if man changed, God still moves. Because God doesn't change, He never failed man, not one bit. He still gives air, food and even life. He never stopped reaching us, even if meant, Him dying on a cross. Now, God moves through his son, Jesus. Now, he moves the hearts of men, both broken and hard. He mends unfixable life, even recreates the things sin got a hold on us. Because God still moves, he changes man.
God faithfully took the bits of pieces we have broken and glued it all together through his own blood. He straightens tilted and unfixable lives like yours and mine. He faithfully took sin in us to him and nailed it on the cross. Through the cross, man was changed and is changed.
God allows change, a change from the inside- out, genuine, real change. Good change. Yes, he is God unchanging, and still moves us, he still takes us out of the ditch we are in to. God still moves, and changes us but only if we are willing.
Are you willing to change? To let God fix you and mend everything that sin broke in you? Then pray this prayer and God will do the rest.
"Lord Jesus, thank you for bringing change. I am sorry and I ask forgiveness because I am sinful and in need of change, real change. I ask you to come into my life and change me, to fix me - for you alone can. I thank you for coming into my life and receiving me, and changing me. In Jesus name, Amen."
God still is unchanged by time and sin, but still he moves for us and in us.

Accidents:
"In God's plan, there is no such thing as an accidental meeting. In each encounter, God has a purpose with the needy person and you because you may be the one who is set to help that person...."

"Is it true that there is no such thing as an accident when you meet different kind of persons?" that was the question on my mind when I was on my Psychology class somewhere in school gazing at a quotation hanged in the cabinet that says "accidents don't just happen...they are caused." I really do hope so that it is true, especially because we are believers. Whether the accident's outcome is good or bad.
But let us focus on the good side of accidents, accidents that are meant to be...nah, am not talking about a love story but when someone needs your help. Isn't it amazing that the Lord's plan for us is not just for us but also for others whom the LORD allows to meet with us, so that we could help them?
Imagine the Samaritan who was on the road to help a Jew, a rival, a foe and even a stranger, yet he took time, effort and even money to take care to that someone who is in great need, almost dying. He never questioned about who the guy was but willingly in his hands carried the man to the nearest help.
Maybe our question is "how can I help someone?"
Come on, Let us wake up to the reality that whenever someone needs help, it can mean a shoulder to cry on, a person capable of doing something, an ear to listen to and a hand to lend on...I can give thousands of help I can remember and you know you got what I mean. One quote that stick to me is the saying "if the Lord puts you in a particular task, YOU become the best person for it." Those words are not just for leaders; they are also for followers...like you and me.
So, think twice and thrice when there is an accidental situation that needs your expertise...someone caused it for YOU to let your hands work and also, your faith to the one greater that we are.
Which leads me to the conclusive question..."how many times have I been on an accidental situation? What was my reaction? Was it fair? Or was I dumb to left them? We do sometimes fail at this point. But remember my friend, we are not just here to listen but also to act...even in accidents.
